The Teachers of College Park Nursery School & Kindergarten

JOAN SICHER
Director and teacher - 4s and Kindergarten
I grew up in Phoenix, AZ with two brothers and one sister. I spent a lot of my teenage years babysitting. Upon graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in Elementary Education, I taught 5th grade. After getting married and moving to Corvallis, OR, I started working with preschoolers and really loved it. We have one daughter.
I’ve been teaching at College Park Nursery School & Kindergarten since 1985. Each year I take course work to learn new ways to teach and make learning fun for children. I am trained in first aid and CPR. I’m proud to be the Director of CPNS&K and truly believe parents helping in the classroom make for the best education your child will receive.

TERRI WINES
Teacher-2s , 2/ 3s and aftercare
I grew up in Maryland. I have one sister. I’ve been married for over 25 years and have three children. I taught at Holy Redeemer School for 14 years as a special teacher. I always wanted to teach pre-school, but they didn’t have the space to start one. I heard about College Park Nursery School & Kindergarten, and came for an interview, and was hired. I went back to school to finish my degree, and will be done in May 2009!

ANN NELLIGAN
Teacher-3s and 3/4s teacherI grew up in Massachusetts, and lived there until I was 30. I have a BS from the Boston University School of Public Communications. Before my children were born, I was a video and print editor, and Operations Manager and a Law Office Administrator, as well as a self-employed provider of secretarial and administrative services.
My two children attended College Park Nursery School. During that time I was a Board Member and served a term as President of the Board. I was a substitute teacher and aide in the Kindergarten class. When my youngest child left CPNS to begin elementary school, I began my teaching career at a nearby school as a PreK-K teacher.
Now I am back at CPNS, about to teach 3 and 4 year olds. I am thrilled-it's like returning home.
